Artist's Comments

here, it is,
my body, revealed,
all imperfections are bare to the eye,
and my eye is bare as well, staring off to those onlookers.
wondering..what are they thinking?

maybe others will see it for it eye-catching figuring and suggestion allure.
but i see it as a series pieces; therefore meriting it rightful plance in your gallery.
it's not longer a reluctant one.

and that's signal toward secturity confidence. willingness to be okay with YOURsefl even if other see "these imperfetions" you talk of.

if you ask me, this concfidence minght coincide with become less "unseen" :aww::hug:

it rose like thunder, clapped under our hands!
it s t r e t c h e d for centuries to a diary entry's end;

Another wonderful piece, Philip. Once glance alone cannot truly reveal the emotional depth behind it. And as in the other pieces, the unseen and unknown is in the mm...often difficult process of being well, as you put it, revealed. But here's the catch.

In looking at this piece, I tend to look and see what's in the person's eyes rather than look for what's considered obvious. To me, inside those eyes is the true revealing. They say many things. They beckon the viewer to 'go on, take your look.' They also show both confidence and possible questioning. But in the end they simply say: "Here I am. This is me."

At least, that's my take on it. Great job again, Philip!

i wanted this piece to have more confidence than my other pieces for many reasons. if my art is an extension of myself then truth be told i have some self conscious issues and im working on it. this was shot along side a reluctant revealing but i thought it showed too much confidence, but now i think it shows just enough.
