(Finally have a bit of free time between my studies to make some critique on your latest works. I'm so sorry I've been terribly remiss in doing so.)
In looking at this self-portrait, I find myself wondering what exactly is moving through your eyes; what thoughts dwell just beneath the surface of what could be both a brooding or melancholy stare. Makes me think; "What is he looking for? What does he want? What thoughts are stirring; waiting to be made known?"
Also when looking at this picture, I can also see many other emotions flickering within the details, in taking a closer look, in gazing at it for a while. Deeper than just a surface "look". There is a smoldering intensity as well in the posture of the body; an almost defensiveness as if challenging the viewer for intruding on perhaps an interrupted moment.
The droplets of water contrasting with the features half hidden in shadows gives this picture a great texture and also makes me think "Why does he hide in the shadows?" There is something there to be discovered; it's simply left up to the viewer's imagination.
(And that's just one of perhaps so many I owe you. ) Hope I've captured the right feeling/mood/perception of this picture. Definitely going into my faves! Sorry this critique was so long; suppose I'm making up for lost time.

Friendship is the song in your heart and friends are the ones that sing it back to you when you forget the words.
this picture has a very interesting expression, although i havnt quite been able to put my finger on it almost sad or regretful eyes... which transfers the emotion into the viewer...
I don't know! It's just so cute D But yeh, the emotion and the light and the waterdrops just make it perfect. (Would've said something more, but I won't ghaha.. XD it sounds too.. bad.)
